Wolves Opt For Safety Underfoot

Achieving safety and security in public areas is of paramount importance to Wolverhampton Football Club, who undertook a recent assessment of the ground’s concourse floors at the Molineux Stadium to ensure that all surfaces comply with health and safety requirements and minimise the risks of trips and slips.

The Jack Harris and Billy Wright stands at the ground house a total of six concourses.  Underlining the club’s commitment to creating a quality environment for fans and visitors, Wolves’ facilities management team requested flooring installation specialists Impact Flooring to specify and install a new flooring system to cover the existing concrete surface.

Impact recommended an epoxy two tier coating system developed and manufactured by resin flooring specialists Resdev Ltd.  The system combines Pumacoat, an epoxy resin floor seal available in a wide range of colours yielding a seamless, hygienic and cleanable finish, with a protective topcoat of Pumashield, a medium viscosity epoxy coating with abrasion resistant fillers.

This product combination achieves a flooring with excellent resistance to foot traffic and light wheeled vehicles, providing an attractive yet tough and durable solution.

The team at Wolverhampton FC are very pleased with the finish and the quality of the work.  “Attention to detail and surface preparation work were second to none, and the end result is excellent,” stated Steve Sutton for the Club.
