Italian Hospitality at Wine Bottling Plant

Keeping the workforce happy comes naturally to Continental Wine and Food (CWF) at it’s headquarters in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and when ACC Flooring Limited started work on the refurbishment of their bottling plant and syrup stores, they were in for a treat.

Founded more than 50 years ago, CWF supplies wholesale wine and continental food to leading supermarkets, blue chip and other retail sectors. The family owned business now has facilities throughout the UK but remains true to its roots by providing staff at Huddersfield with freshly cooked pasta every day and the team from ACC were welcomed into the kitchens for a hearty meal whilst they installed Resdev’s Pumadur HF throughout the factory.

The bottling plant is housed in a 140,000 square feet converted textile mill and consists of 7 different bottling lines for 3 litre boxed, single serve and standard wines with still, semi-sparkling and carbonation facilities. The company also develop and ferment wines in large tanks on the premises and production needed to remain in operation whilst ACC laid the heavy duty polyurethane screed system.

Pumadur HF was the ideal choice as it is VOC and taint free and allows for the application of seamless in-situ flooring within the same building as stored foodstuffs. It can also be subjected to very heavy duty traffic and can be cleaned at much higher temperatures than other systems for increased hygiene and improved housekeeping practices. The floor was completed in sections with each following flawlessly on from the other in order to maintain seamless integrity and high aesthetic standards throughout.
